Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space's DARKWING Program seeks a highly motivated Network Engineer to join our team at the customer site. You will lead network design, procurement, integration, and maintenance, coordinating efforts across engineering and operations.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot network anomalies, configure switches/routers, and work with TCP/IP, VPNs, and routing protocols. Weekend support may be required for 24x7 operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, LAN protocols.
• Security+ and Network+ certifications.
• Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Juniper switches experience.
• TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform program network efforts at the customer site.
• Set up and maintain network switches and routers; configure VPNs, firewalls as needed.
• Troubleshoot network anomalies and failures; support 24x7 operations as needed.
• Represent ES2 in meetings to provide status on actions and issues.

The DARKWING Program is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer to join our team in La Plata, MD.

The successful candidate will spearhead efforts and serve as the prime interface to coordinate and perform program network efforts and activities at our customer site. The candidate should have an engineering background and be familiar with network design, network hardware procurement, network integration, and maintenance of network systems. The candidate must be experienced in troubleshooting network anomalies and failures. They must also be skilled in the set up and maintenance of network switches and routers, have experience with WAN\\LAN technologies; specifically, TCP/IP, LAN, and routing protocols, VPN, Firewall configuration and filtering. The candidate must have strong inter-personal and communication skills and is capable of successfully explaining procedures in writing or verbally.

Weekend/evening or call in work occasionally required supporting 24X7 operations or maintenance activities.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
