Job summary

REJIS is seeking an experienced Network Engineer Specialist to design, implement, and secure complex WAN/LAN infrastructures across client environments. You will be an internal and client-facing technical expert shaping technology decisions and addressing challenging network issues.

You will mentor other IT professionals, drive project initiatives, and evaluate new technologies to deliver practical, compliant solutions for REJIS and its clients.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems, MIS, or related field; 10–12 years of network technology experience.
• Strong knowledge of WAN/LAN networking, infrastructure, and network security.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently.
• Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring, or leadership to IT professionals.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security of complex WAN/LAN networks and infrastructure.
• Monitor network health and proactively resolve issues.
• Mentor Network Engineers and IT staff.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and determine viable solutions for REJIS and clients.
• Lead or support network and infrastructure projects, technology assessments, and client needs assessments.
• Strengthen network security and maintain CJIS and MULES compliance.
• Collaborate with vendors, clients, management, and internal teams to develop practical technology solutions.
• Contribute to budgeting, vendor evaluations, and infrastructure planning.

In this role, you’ll be more than just the person who keeps the network running. You’ll serve as a technical expert for REJIS and our clients, help shape technology decisions, tackle challenging network and infrastructure issues, and share your knowledge by mentoring other IT professionals.

What You’ll Do

• Help strengthen network security and maintain compliance with applicable requirements, including CJIS and MULES
• Partner with vendors, clients, management, and internal teams to develop practical, effective technology solutions
• Contribute to technology budgeting, vendor evaluations, and infrastructure planning

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• Strong knowledge of WAN/LAN networking, infrastructure, network security, and related technologies
