Network Engineer Senior – TS/SCI Required

Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and support of LAN, WAN, AIN, intranet, internet, and other data communications systems or network segments.
- Maintain network hardware and software, and monitor network availability to all system users.
- Supervise other network support and client server specialists, plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures, and provide leadership/mentorship to junior and mid-level network engineers.
- Oversee network control center; support projects involving networks.
- Perform full range of complex network designs encompassing multiple technologies within a single network.
- Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations to project managers regarding integration of these technologies.
- Plan new configurations and ensure effective integration and optimal network performance.
- Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation, and support of voice communications systems.
- Translate business requirements into telecommunications (LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs, and orders.
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop network requirement specifications.
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
- Lead design and development activities for network requirements and capacity.
- Provide technical leadership for integration of network requirements, design, and technology.
- Incorporate new network plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations and develop network architecture documentation.
- Guide network development and implementation planning through preparation of network engineering management plans and test plans.
- Design and perform integration of new technologies into LAN and WAN.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex network problems.
- Manage transition and migration of networks and development of network addressing schemes.
- Interact with government on network engineering technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
- Ensure technical integrity of work and deliverables in the Network Engineering area.
- Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
- Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI + Polygraph.
- Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large-scale, integrated projects.
- Review and approve Network engineering documentation to ensure processes and specifications meet network needs.
- Establish and follow formal procedures for coordinating network integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring coverage of all interfaces.
- Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format, store data in a commonly accessible repository.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Certification.
- Minimum of CCNA to start and CCNP within 180 days of start; preferred CCNP on day one.
- Security+ or equivalent certification.
- Experience with network design and implementation of LAN/WAN, voice and video, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Federal contracting experience desirable.
Preferred Certifications
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II, CCNA, CCNP.
Location & Work Details
On Customer Site: Charlottesville, VA, USA. Travel 10–25% required. Telecommuting not available. Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
Salary Range
Estimated range: $127,500 – $172,500. Salary will be set based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
