Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, secure, deploy, and maintain highly available network infrastructure across on-site and Azure cloud environments. You will focus on firewall administration, VPNs, and scalable WAN/LAN configurations while collaborating with LAN admins and security teams.

You will contribute to incident response, monitoring, and automation to improve uptime, security, and performance. Remote work is supported for distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong firewall administration, VPNs, and multi-ISP routing.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure firewall rule base and configurations.
• Build network configurations across LAN and WAN.
• Troubleshoot network problems promptly.
• Manage IP address allocation to avoid overlaps.
• Maintain firmware on switches, APs, load balancers, and devices.
• Configure Voice/Call Center systems.
• Lead incident resolution efforts and postmortems.
• Design and implement monitoring and automation tools.
• Maintain uptime and address disruptions.
• Collaborate with LAN admins and security teams.
• Familiar with SolarWinds, PRTG, and Azure monitoring.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

As aNetworkInfrastructure Engineer,you'llplay a critical role in ensuring the reliability andsecurityof our IT infrastructure and cloud applications. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a secure limited accessfirewallrule base
• Buildingnetworkconfigurations and connectionsacross LAN and WAN.
• Troubleshooting network problems.
• IP address allocationand maintenance to avoid overlaps.
• Maintaining firmware onswitches, APs, loadbalancersand other devices.
• Voice and Call Center system configuration.
• Leading incident resolution efforts and postmortems.
• Designing and implementing monitoring and automation tools.
• A system operations mindset focused onmaintaininguptime and addressing disruptions.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with other engineering teams.
• Familiarity with monitoring systems such asSolarWinds,PRTG,Azure.
• Experience with web networking, TLS,SSL certificate management,reverse proxies, and load balancing.
• A passionfor solving complex problems and continuous improvement.
• Some travel may berequired

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

7+ years of experience in a similar role.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• In depth experience withfirewalladministration, VPN tunnels, and multi-ISP routing
• Network access control(NAC)systems
• Networkswitch and APhardware configuration and installation
• Network design,implementationand troubleshooting.
• Network segmentationthat includessecurity limits with ACLs, NACs, and firewalls.
• Wireless network security with 802.1x and certificate authentication.
• WAF experience with DDoS and Bot protections
• Incident response and/or incident management experience.
• Experience withhighly availabledistributed systems.
• Experience withOT (Operational Technology)networksegmentation is a plus
• Experience defining SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

The range for this position is$83,300.00to$164,400.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location. Acuity offers generous benefits including health care, dental coverage, vision plans, 401K benefits, and commissions/incentive compensation depending on the role.
