Job summary

Irvine Technology Corporation is seeking a Network Engineer I to design, engineer and support wired and wireless LAN/WAN networks for large-scale infrastructure projects in McKinney, TX. The role blends hands-on field work with problem-solving and collaboration.

You will work onsite, earning $48–$50 per hour on a contract-to-hire basis, with CCNA required and CCNP or Palo Alto certification a plus. There is travel between multiple sites and no visa sponsorship for this role.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification and hands‑on Cisco networking experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with practical field experience in cabling, network drops, and access point deployment.
• CCNP and/or Palo Alto certification a plus.
• Comfortable working independently in a lean team environment, with willingness to travel between multiple sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and support wired and wireless LAN/WAN network solutions to meet operational needs
• Perform hands‑on field work, including fiber testing, cabling, network drops, and access point installation and configuration
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity, performance, and related network issues across multiple sites
• Coordinate and implement network hardware and software upgrades while maintaining comprehensive network documentation
• Partner with vendors, technical staff, and support teams on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management
