Job summary

Ciena, a global leader in high-speed connectivity, invites recent graduates to start a career in Network Engineering within its Professional Services team. You will gain hands-on experience on real-world networks powering global connectivity.

From onboarding to mentoring, you will learn to engineer and deploy advanced network solutions, support implementations, and collaborate with international teams across engineering, project management and technical support.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (BSc or MSc in Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar)
• Strong interest in optical / fibre networking technologies (highly valued)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, routing, or transmission)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Learn how to engineer and deploy advanced network solutions with guidance from experienced engineers
• Support network implementation, testing, and reconfiguration/migration activities
• Work with both optical (Layer 0/1) and IP networking technologies (Layer 2/3)
• Collaborate with global teams including engineering, project management, and technical support
• Participate in customer projects and gain exposure to real deployment environments
