Company Overview

By Light is hiring a Network Engineer Level IV to join our team. This position will provide NetOps support to the JNOC, developing engineering, recommending design solutions for hardware and software, and conducting cybersecurity mitigations to ensure compliance with RMF cybersecurity requirements. Support will be provided Monday-Friday, 8 hours, between 0630-1730.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper routing protocols are applied to optimize network performance across LAN, WAN, CAN, SAN, and data centers.
  • Assist the government in identifying design objectives, technical specifications, performance, and interoperability requirements to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Develop, review, and update briefings, papers, or spreadsheets supporting these tasks.
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Extensive experience and professional certification in architecting, designing, testing, troubleshooting, and implementing interior gateway protocols (IGP), external gateway protocol (EGP), MPLS, VRF, NFV/Service Chaining, and SDN on enterprise networks to meet security, performance, and operational requirements.
  • CCNP RS and CCNP Security certifications (waivers possible with relevant experience).
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
  • Top Secret clearance required with ability to obtain SCI.
