Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to provide advanced engineering support for our enterprise network. You will verify requirements, design and configure LAN/WAN, data center, and voice networks, and provision and troubleshoot equipment.

You will lead complex issues, document projects, and stay ahead of evolving technologies. Strong collaboration, communication, and multi-tasking are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of related experience in Network Engineering and/or Solutions Engineering.
• CCNP or higher certification is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista routing, switching and firewalls.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Python is required.
• Experience with incident response and cross-functional partnership with other lines of business.
• Strong understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization best practices.
• Proficient in more than one infrastructure technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3/4 engineering support for the enterprise network.

• Provide Level 3/4 engineering support for the corporate enterprise network.
• Verify hardware/software requirements, design and configure Local Area Network/Wide Area Network, Data Center Network and/or Voice Network Technologies.
• Perform network equipment provisioning, equipment configuration, installation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Support network technologies and provide a high level of user support.
• Provide effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue.
• Document small-to medium-scale projects and deliver presentations with minimal supervision.
• Dissect complex situations and refocus on critical technology tasks.
• Maintain a high degree of technical expertise/professional mastery to recommend process improvements.
• Serve as an informal leader on tactical problems, often consulted by peers.
• Maintain current professional and technical skills and stay abreast of emerging technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalents experience.
• 7+ years of related experience in Network Engineering and/or Solutions Engineering.
• Technical certifications as required, CCNP preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with technologies like Cisco and/or Arista (routing, switching, firewalls, etc).
• Professional working experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python).
• Professional experience with incident response and cross‑functional partnership with other lines of business.
