Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA seeks a Network Engineer - Level 2 to design, deploy and maintain networks and to interface with multiple groups to meet complex customer requirements. The role supports DISA STIGs, and may involve international deployments and cyber/STIG automation.

The position requires a TS clearance, strong routing and Cisco WAN experience, and the ability to obtain SCI/CI Poly before start. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience or Master's with additional 4 years allowed in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret clearance required at application time; ability to obtain SCI/CI Poly before start.
• Experience with IP subnetting and L1–L3 networking.
• Experience with static and dynamic routing protocols and Cisco WAN deployments.
• Knowledge of DISA STIG for network devices and security fundamentals.

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Network Engineer - Level 2 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA.

Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding and obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.

What you'll get to do:

• Design, deployment and maintenance of networks.
• Interface with other groups to gain a heightened understanding of customer network requirements to include implementation of DISA STIGs.
• Ancillary duties will include, but are not limited to: evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and computing asset management.
• Architect and assist in the successful deployment of international networks.
• Implement Cyber requirements via STIG automation.
• Integration of networks / time servers and other network devices.
• Assist with integrating products within labs and development environments.
• Help to maintain the information assurance posture of the system.
• Formulate innovative solutions to problems as they arise.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Active Top Secret clearance required at the time of application, and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and CI Poly prior to start
• Experience with IP subnetting
• Experience with L1 thru L3 networking
• Experience with static and dynamic routing protocols
• Knowledge of Cisco Systems networking, to include the deployment of complex WAN configurations across several sites (including international)
• DISA STIG as they apply to network devices
• Security+ Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Solarwinds network monitoring
• Experience with Cisco ISE applications
• Experience with Crypto units
• Microsoft Visio Diagram creation
• CISSP or Microsoft OS Certification

Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
