Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is hiring a Network Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Aurora, CO. The role is 100% onsite, requiring active Top-Secret/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph.

You will design, test, and support WAN/LAN networks, and help implement security measures across projects. Qualifications include a degree with relevant experience and active certification such as Security+.

Qualifications

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Network Engineer – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Aurora, CO. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

*This position is contingent upon capturing program award(s), obtaining and maintaining customer funding, and holding final clearances (if applicable) prior to start date*

The Network Engineer will support the customer’s computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide technical support and engineering for WAN/LAN development and maintenance.
• The work involves installations, design, configurations, monitoring, and maintenance of network hardware and software to ensure network availability to system users.
• Work alongside other network support and client server specialists to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
• Provide support to projects involving networks, by helping them connect to the network and troubleshooting issues they may have.
• Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation and support of the network.

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional relevant experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with an active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph at time of application
• Active/current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent 8570 certification
• Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional relevant experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional relevant experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional relevant experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance with an active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph at time of application
• Active/current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent 8570 certification
• Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment demonstrating a strong proficiency
• Experience working with worldwide enterprise networks
• Experience working with classified level enterprise networks
• Ability to effectively communicate and present to program management and customers
• Ability to effectively write technical documentation
• Experience sharing knowledge, mentoring, and working in a collaborative environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds (yet such is in-frequent)
• Ability to support after hours and on weekends as needed (yet such is in-frequent)

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses designated!
