Job summary

CACI is seeking a Network Engineer III to support an Intelligence Community customer across WAN, LAN and CAN networks within multiple security domains. Travel up to 25% and occasional CONUS/OCONUS locations may be required.

The role focuses on network engineering for new projects, operation and sustainment of existing infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with government security processes while developing roadmaps and documenting configurations for approval.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 8+ years of experience in network/transport technologies.
  • 4+ years in large-scale enterprise/global networks.
  • Experience with DoD network architecture and security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance, monitoring and installation of WAN/LAN environments across security domains.
  • Research and implement enterprise network solutions to meet mission goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
  • Prepare test plans and documentation for configuration upgrades for customer approval.
  • Support traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization.

The Opportunity

Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Network Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains.

Responsibilities:

Focus will be on Network Engineering, new project requirements, and operation and sustainment of existing infrastructure. This position does require travel to local sites up to 15% and may require travel to further CONUS/OCONUS locations on a voluntary basis.

  • Coordination of system maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies.
  • Assist with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network media and components.
  • Evaluate and monitor health and performance of the network including hardware and management software.
  • Develop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
  • Assist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all network configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation.
  • Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to ensure attainment of performance and availability objectives.
  • Evaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices
  • Follows all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies.
  • Represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.
  • Perform site surveys to new installations and technology refresh.
  • Installs, maintains and troubleshoots satellite communications equipment.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Security Clearance: active TS/SCI
  • 8+ years related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques
  • 4+ years’ experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment
  • Understanding and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions
  • Experience with Juniper, switches, routers, and firewalls. (MX, EX, QFX, SRX devices) Cryptographic devices (KG-175G/F/X, KG-142)
  • Experience with Network analysis tools (Network monitoring, AAA solutions, security analysis tools, etc…)
  • Experience with supporting IP services to connect to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and other external environments
  • Experience with switching/LAN/L2 technologies, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP/LDP L2/3VPNs, VRFs, IKE/IPSec, GRE tunnels, MTU/MSS, Import/Export policies, IPv4, IKE/IPSEC, Multicast, COS/QOS, SNMP, SYSLOG, AAA, etc…
  • Experience with planning hardware for a new site installation or recap effort of existing equipment, planning projects, drafting network diagrams, drafting engineering configurations
  • Experience with troubleshooting network environments and providing regular updates
  • Certifications: IAT II

Desired:

  • JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, CISCO CCNP, CCVP, CCNA or CCDP (or equivalent)
  • ITIL v3 Foundations
  • ISC2 CISSP
  • Experience with integrating multi-vendor cloud environments

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
