Job Description – Network Engineer II

THE JOB

Ticketmaster is seeking a talented Network Engineer to join our team. You will be instrumental in designing, securing, and maintaining our network across global data centres, transitioning from a traditional 3-tier architecture to a leaf and spine VXLAN/EVPN topology. This role involves both project work and daily operations, including support tickets, troubleshooting, and collaborating with other teams to implement solutions. We are also implementing automation and self-service solutions to enhance efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design & Build Secure Networks: Develop and implement secure, scalable network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs) aligned with business needs. Manage projects within defined lifecycles.
  • Triage and Tackle Network Issues: Address performance concerns proactively. Diagnose and resolve complex issues to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Champion Operational Excellence: Manage workload via Jira and resolve operational requests efficiently.
  • Maintain Network Security: Apply patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Automate for Efficiency: Develop automation solutions using scripting and infrastructure as code tools.
  • Document for Success: Maintain comprehensive network documentation.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work with the network team and other IT units.
  • Incident Response Hero: Lead in identifying and resolving major network incidents.
  • Always Be Learning: Keep up with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Be Part of the Solution: Participate in on-call rotations.

Technical Requirements

  • 5+ Years of Network Engineering Experience
  • Deep understanding of VXLAN & EVPN
  • Experience with Data Center Networks
  • Knowledge of Routing Protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
  • Understanding of MLAG, VPC, STP, HA protocols
  • VPN Technologies (VTI, DMVPN, Cisco Secure Client)
  • Firewall configuration and troubleshooting (Fortigate, ASA/Firepower)
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Ansible) and IaC tools (Docker, Git, Terraform) is a plus
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are desirable but not mandatory

Compensation: $88,000 - $110,000 USD, based on experience and qualifications.
