The role also assists with planning and design of the campus and wide-area networks and may guide entry-level engineers.

• Assist with strategy, planning, and design of the campus and wide-area networks.
• Own Layer 2 switching configuration and deployment, IPAM configurations, network hardware management, and inventory and surplus management.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level network engineers.
• Hold a master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree with two years of network engineering experience; associate’s and high school paths require more IT experience.
• Know the TCP/IP suite and routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, and PIM, plus wired and wireless LAN and WAN architecture and security standards.
• Prefer CCNA certification and three or more years with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Cisco APs, IP address management tools, OSPF/BGP, or Cisco VPN/AnyConnect.
• Minimum salary of $69,200 per year on the Salaried E11 pay grade.
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with some after-hours work.
