Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a Network Engineer II in Washington, DC to design and maintain enterprise LANs, manage VM environments, and support customer networks on-site.

Candidates should have a BS in CS/CE/IT, 7+ years of experience, Security+ and CCNA certifications, and an Active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT required.
• 7+ years of related experience preferred.
• Security+ certification is required/preferred.
• CCNA certification preferred.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Ability to work on-site at customers’ request.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of VM operation and administration.
• Admin level knowledge of Windows, Linux and VM OS/software.
• Develop and modify Group Policies.
• Develop network switch configurations.
• Knowledge of network protocols used in our systems.
• Install, configure and maintain LAN, data networks, OS and servers.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology

Seven (7) or more years of related experience

Security +

CCNA is preferred

Active Secret Clearance is required

Overview

VTG is seeking a Network Engineer II.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of virtual machine computing operation
• Administrative level knowledge of Windows, Linux, and VM operating systems and software
• Ability to develop and modify Group Policies
• Ability to develop network switch configurations.
• Knowledge of network protocols used in our systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology
• Seven (7) or more years of related experience is preferred
• Security +
• CCNA is preferred
• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Ability to work on-site at customers’ request.

Pay Range

VTG\'s estimated starting pay range is $98,000-118,000, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
