Job summary

IntelliSoft Technologies in Memphis, TN seeks a Network Engineer to design and maintain enterprise networks, including LAN/WAN, internet, intranet, and data center components. The role is on-site five days a week.

You will implement and support network infrastructure, respond to incidents, document configurations, and ensure security best practices. A four-year networking background and a Bachelor's degree are required, with Aruba and Extreme Networks experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with four years of networking experience.
• Working knowledge in network automation and network design preferred.
• Experience with Enterprise Wireless Technology (Aruba) recommended.
• Experience with Extreme Networks routing/switching (Extreme VSP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design computer networks including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, cloud, and data center.
• Perform administration and implementation tasks for network infrastructure including wired and wireless components.
• Provide technical support for network issues, analysis, installation, configuration, and support.
• Monitor network performance and investigate outages to resolution.
• Create and maintain network documentation, scopes of work, diagrams, processes, and test plans.

Location: Memphis, TN - 5 days ONSITE

Works under the direction of assigned manager and is responsible for designing computer

networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), internet,

intranet, cloud, data center and other communications systems.

Performs administration and implementation tasks for the organization’s network infrastructure, including wired,

wireless, and voice connectivity. Responds to requests for installation, administration, and support of network components and systems. Provides technical support for network

issues, network analysis, installation, configuration, and support.

Coordinates and makes assignments for the current and future requirements of assigned areas of responsibility.

Implements and provides guidance related to processes and policies.

Creates and maintains network documentation, including scopes of work, diagrams, processes, and

test plans.

Monitors network performance and investigates problems and outages to resolution.

Evaluates and recommends solutions that are feasible, cost effective, compatible, and consistent with the department and organization’s strategic goals.

Researches, plans, tests, and supports the implementation of various business and technical solutions. Works with network engineers and/or vendor support to reduce

Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning for the enterprise.

Incorporates security best practices in network design implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and four (4) years of networking experience; or any combination of experience and training

which enables one to perform the essential job functions.

Working technical knowledge in network automation and network design is preferred.

Working knowledge in Enterprise Wireless Technology (preferably Aruba).

Working knowledge in Extreme Networks (Extreme Routing and Switching, Extreme VSP) is a plus
