Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer – Level 1 to support a multi-site network environment, assisting in planning, design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of local and wide area networks. This role emphasizes high availability, performance, and security.

You will work with TCP/IP, routing protocols, firewall/VPN, and NAC solutions, documenting procedures and communicating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
2+ years in Network Engineering or related support role.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, IP addressing and subnetting.
Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and NAC solutions.
Ability to document procedures and communicate with stakeholders.
Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, PCNSE, or Aruba preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of networks.
Support high availability, performance, and security of network services.
Troubleshoot network issues using packet captures, ping, traceroute, SNMP and logs.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance capabilities.
