Custom Computer Specialists is seeking a Network Engineer to join our Professional Services Team and support delivery of network projects for clients throughout the Tri-State Area. The role involves implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting network solutions across various environments.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in networking/IT infrastructure roles.
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification preferred.
• Foundational networking concepts: TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, wireless, DNS, DHCP, basic firewall concepts.
• Experience configuring, supporting, or troubleshooting network technologies.
• Exposure to vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Extreme, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
• Ability to troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop knowledge of current networking technologies, products, and best practices.
• Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and support network infrastructure including switching, routing, wireless, firewall and related technologies.
• Follow established standards, guidelines, and project methodologies.
• Assist with network assessments, design activities, documentation, and BOMs.
• Participate in on-site installations, site surveys, migrations, and project discovery activities.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and diagrams.
• Provide professional client support and collaborate with senior engineers and project teams.
