Job summary

Din Development Corporation (DDC) seeks a Network Engineer to support the Defense Enclave Services program at Ft. Meade, MD.

The role focuses on lifecycle replacement for enterprise networks, ensuring DISA/DoD compliance and delivering planning, staging, testing, and migration of network devices. The ideal candidate will manage EIPs, migration and rollback procedures, and collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

Qualifications

Secret clearance required
IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or DoDM 8570 Baseline)
Bachelor's degree with 2–4 years related experience
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start (Security+ CE)
Advanced knowledge of enterprise routing and switching technologies
Experience implementing and supporting large-scale enterprise network infrastructure
Hands-on routing protocols: BGP and OSPF
Experience with VLANs, STP, and L2/L3 design
Strong IP networking, subnetting, and troubleshooting
Willingness to travel up to 25%, including possible OCONUS travel
Support scheduled after-hours maintenance windows

Responsibilities

Perform lifecycle replacement and technology refresh for enterprise network infrastructure.
Engineer, configure, test, and implement routers, switches, and related devices per engineering standards and security requirements.
Develop and execute Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs) and migration/rollback procedures.
Support network modernization and hardware refresh across enterprise environments.
Coordinate maintenance windows, circuit migrations, and cutover activities with internal teams and stakeholders.
Validate device configurations for DISA STIG and security compliance.
Perform configuration management and software upgrades.
Analyze network designs and recommend improvements for reliability and scalability.
Create and maintain technical docs and diagrams.
Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and operations teams for smooth deployment.
Support testing and validation of connectivity, routing, switching, and security during implementations.
Participate in process improvements and standardization initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers and implementation personnel.
Support after-hours maintenance windows as required.
Other duties as assigned.
