Job summary

Command Cyber Solutions, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer in Portsmouth, VA to plan, support, and optimize complex network systems. You will provide high-level engineering, architecture input, and documentation for network resources, performance metrics, and capacity planning.

Minimum four years IT experience with hands-on routing/switching, Cisco/Brocade/Nortel equipment, and security certifications. The role emphasizes on-call support, vendor coordination, and maintaining up-to-date network

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum four years of IT experience with at least three in network design, routing, or switching.
• Cisco, Brocade, and Nortel devices experience preferred.
• CCNA and Security+ certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide network management and operational support; monitor performance and balance load.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform configuration management for new and existing users.
• Maintain network diagrams and documentation; open trouble tickets via Service Now.
• Install/maintain network hardware, perform OS upgrades and capacity planning.
