Job summary

NextIS Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. You will work with the IT team to ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient network that supports business growth.

The role requires hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and monitoring tools, plus the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. federal security clearance. Collaboration and documentation duties are essential to success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience with network monitoring/troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Federal Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with IT team to ensure network security and compliance with company policies.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements as needed.
