Join to apply for the Network Engineer, Datacenter role at Meta.

Responsibilities:

1. Design network topologies and configuration for the DC Fabric networks.
2. Develop IP addressing and routing policy intent in the DC.
3. Create deployment packages and maintain as-built documentation for installed network gear.
4. Establish and implement global best practices and lead the design of new scalable network solutions.
5. Define and partner with network hardware, software, and vendor teams on the development of network platforms (switch and optics).
6. Partner with in-house SWE, Tooling, Planning, Simulation, and Delivery teams to codify network designs.
7. Participate in an on-call rotation to support the global datacenter network infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP-TE).
• Working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6.
• Experience working in a multi-vendor environment with networking hardware.
• 4+ years of programming experience in languages like Python, Go, C/C++ for automation software or tooling.
• Knowledge of physical infrastructure design, including structured cabling and fiber-optic cabling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience working in global teams and solving complex problems.
• Technical leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of 200/400/800G Ethernet and optical transport network technologies like CWDM, DWDM.
• Understanding of switch ASIC internals and optics.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
