Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator I to support enterprise networking, cloud, and security initiatives within a DoD-compliant environment. You will maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, assist with firewall policies, VPNs, and multi-vendor equipment to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years networking and OS design, test, and maintenance experience, or AA degree and 3+ years in networking and OS design, test, and maintenance or equivalent related experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in support and maintenance of complex network environment
• Knowledge of Firewalls, Routers, Layer 2/3 Switches (Cisco/Arista), VPCs, VLANs, WiFi, cryptography, and Wireless technologies
• Basic understanding of networking concepts including ACLs, VLANs, DNS, IP addressing, and routing fundamentals
• Basic understanding of WAN/LAN/WLAN and network security fundamentals
• Knowledge of IT Security policies and SIEM technologies
• Knowledge of DNS/IPAM/FTP/LDAP/ SMTP/DHCP
• Knowledge of monitoring tools SNMP, Netflow, Syslog
• Familiarity with HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP and related protocols
• Interest in hybrid cloud networking and compute workloads
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist in the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of corporate network systems
• Maintain cloud, LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure in complex environments
• Assist with expanding private/public cloud services and capabilities
• Document detailed network designs for security compliance and scalable infrastructure
• Assess and facilitate network requests including firewall policies, VPN, and IP addressing
• Learn and work with multi-vendor environments (Arista, Cisco)
• Support monitoring systems and cloud-based operations (PRTG, CloudVision)
• Provide shift-based 2nd/3rd line support for global network
• Communicate with end-users and other teams on initiatives
• Assist other teams with integration of local, remote, cloud, and hybrid network services
• Support cybersecurity efforts during investigations/assessments
• Implement security-first policies and SOX/NIST/CMMC compliance
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
• Participate in M&A and onboarding activities for networking requirements
• Liaise with users and management for issue resolution
• Plan, schedule, and monitor IT projects
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
