FedPoint seeks a Network Security Engineer to lead critical networking initiatives across on prem and AWS cloud environments, focusing on security, performance, and reliability. You will own architecture, outages, and IaC with Terraform, aligning with NIST 800-53 standards while supporting HIPAA requirements.

The role blends hands-on networking with cloud scalability, requiring 7+ years in 24/7 environments, strong routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, and cross‑functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 7+ years in network engineering in a 24x7 environment.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewall, and cloud networking.
• Hands-on with AWS and IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, load balancers, and web application firewalls.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, BGP, and VPNs.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with NIST compliance.

FedPoint is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to lead critical networking initiatives and help shape a secure, high performing infrastructure across both on premises and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging problems, and wants to make a direct impact on enterprise level systems. This position is going to be 51% on prem network and 49% AWS cloud networking.

As a key member of our IT Infrastructure team, you will take ownership of network architecture, performance, and security while ensuring alignment with NIST 800 53 standards. You will play a lead role in strengthening our AWS cloud networking environment and maintaining the reliability of our corporate WAN and LAN.

What You Will Do

• Lead network architecture initiatives across cloud and on premises environments
• Own and resolve network outages, including root cause analysis and long term solutions
• Design, implement, and support secure networking solutions including firewalls, segmentation, and load balancing
• Manage AWS cloud networking components and support cloud migration efforts
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Monitor network performance, develop alerting, and improve system reliability
• Partner with security teams to enforce compliance with NIST and HIPAA standards
• Lead projects from planning through execution and drive process improvements
• Collaborate with cross functional teams across infrastructure, cloud, and systems

What You Bring

• 7 or more years of experience in network engineering within a 24 by 7 environment
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud networking
• Hands on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, load balancers, and web application firewalls
• Knowledge of network protocols and services including DNS, DHCP, BGP, and VPNs
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform deep root cause analysis
• Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as NIST
• Ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively
