The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is seeking a Network Engineer to support our global enterprise network from our Rockville, MD site.

You will assist with routing and switching tasks, troubleshoot issues under senior guidance, and help document network configurations to strengthen uptime and security. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in IT/CS/engineering, CCNA certification, and at least 3 years of network support experience, with a focus on Cisco/Juniper platforms and basic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active CCNA certification.
• 3 years of network support experience.
• Foundational knowledge of enterprise networking platforms (Cisco/Juniper).
• Ability to learn emerging technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting network infrastructure and routine installations.
• Troubleshoot entry-level network issues under senior guidance.
• Monitor network activity and escalate issues.
• Support uptime and health monitoring for critical systems.
• Assist with IOS patch management.
• Create and maintain network documentation.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
