Beacon Hill Technologies seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise networking environments in Rochester, MN or Austin, MN. This hands‑on role requires deploying upgrades, configuring Cisco Catalyst switches and routers, and collaborating with peers to ensure reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong OSI knowledge, experience with Cisco 9000/8000 series, and a proven ability to document infrastructure while working with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and OSI Layers 1-3.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues at the physical, data link, and network layers.
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series switches.
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Cisco Catalyst 8000 Series routers.
• Experience working in enterprise networking environments with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Install and support Cisco switching and routing platforms.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and reliability issues across Layers 1-3 of the OSI model.
• Deploy and support access layer and distribution layer networking environments.
• Participate in network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project stakeholders, and operations personnel to ensure successful project delivery.
