NV Energy is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to handle advanced technical roles responsible for securing network perimeters. The ideal candidate will design and implement solutions involving firewalls, DDoS protection, and cloud integrations.
Responsibilities include leading network security projects, collaborating with teams for optimal design, and improving network resilience. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, relevant experience, and expert-level skills in networking technologies.
This is a multi-level posting. Candidates may be considered for any of the posted levels, depending on their level of experience and depth of expertise.
The Network Engineer 2 or 3 is an advanced technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting projects that secure the organization’s network perimeter. This position supports and, at more advanced levels, leads initiatives involving firewall platforms, DDoS protection technologies, load balancers, and hybrid/cloud network integrations to ensure secure, resilient, and scalable connectivity. Operating with increasing autonomy, the network engineer contributes technical expertise across complex projects, partners with architecture and security teams, and helps drive best practices for network edge design, availability, and threat mitigation.
