a.i. solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Mission System Support contract at the Blossom Point Satellite Command and Tracking Facility (BPTF) in Maryland. The program sustains mission-critical satellite command, control, tracking, and ground-system operations for national security space missions.

This role is contingent upon contract award. The engineer will administer LAN/WAN networks, diagnose faults, and install, configure, and upgrade network hardware and software.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MIS, CS, or related field.
3 years of network support experience in multi-platform environments with TCP/IP.
DoD8570/8140 compliant certs at IAT Level III (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA) required.
Clearance: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information at time of contract award.

Responsibilities

Administer LAN/WAN and remote networks; maintain network hardware and software.
Diagnose and fix LAN/WAN issues; install and upgrade network systems.
Support mission-critical satellite command and ground systems under NRL program.

Job description

a.i. solutions is seeking a Network Engineer that will support the Mission System Support contract at the Blossom Point Satellite Command and Tracking Facility (BPTF). The program supports the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in sustaining mission-critical satellite command, control, tracking, and ground-system operations. Team members will contribute to the reliable operation, integration, maintenance, and advancement of systems essential to national security space missions. This role is contingent upon contract award.

The Network Engineer requires a strong background in the administration of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and remote networks including working knowledge of network hardware, software, protocols, and network security in a client/server environment, and working knowledge of servers, modems, switches, firewalls, and routers. Able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct problems with LAN/WAN services in order to install, configure, maintain and upgrade software on network systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or related field
3 years of experience in the network support role in a multi-platform environment, including thorough knowledge/experience with network protocols specifically Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Certificates for computer or network-related DoD8570/8140 Compliant Certs at IAT Level III, CCNP/CCIE. (e.g. Cisco, Bay, Microsoft):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching (REQUIRED)
- Juniper Networks Certified Associate (REQUIRED)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (optional)
- Juniper Networks Enterprise Routing and Switching, Specialist (optional)
- Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Security (optional)
Must have a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information at time of contract award
