Job summary

a.i. solutions is seeking a Spacecraft Engineer to support the Mission System Support contract at the Blossom Point Satellite Command and Tracking Facility (BPTF). The program supports the U.S.

Naval Research Laboratory in sustaining mission-critical satellite command, control, tracking, and ground-system operations. The Spacecraft Engineer will monitor health status and provide support for spacecraft in operation, including recovery and spacecraft anomalies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science discipline or related field.
  • Must have a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information at time of contract award

Responsibilities

  • Monitor health status and provide support for spacecraft in operation.
  • Support spacecraft operations and configuration changes.
  • Develop mission plans, check the logs for day and overnight activity, compile system and network statistics, write or modify perform files, and evaluate and trend spacecraft performance.
  • Work with spacecraft factories, RF and digital technicians, network engineers, software teams during existing or new spacecraft integration, ground command and control architectures, including spacecraft design reviews, integration, and ground and on-orbit tests.

Team members will contribute to the reliable operation, integration, maintenance, and advancement of systems essential to national security space missions. This role is contingent upon contract award.

The Spacecraft Engineer will monitor health status and provide support for spacecraft in operation, including recovery and spacecraft anomalies. Support spacecraft operations and configuration changes. Develop mission plans, check the logs for day and overnight activity, compiles system and network statistics, writes or modifies perform files, and evaluate and trend spacecraft performance.
