Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to provide Tier 1 support for critical DoD missions from Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL. The role is full-time and on-site, with 10% travel possible.

Responsibilities include supporting SLC3S-A and NAOC networks, coordinating with users, and administering Microsoft Active Directory environments. Requires TS/SCI clearance and DoDD 8140.03 compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide Network Tier 1 support to senior leadership operations and aircraft networks.
• Support EACN Gateways, SIL, and GSOC operations.
• Coordinate network requirements with users/sites; perform AD administration tasks.
• Operate SolarWinds and other government-furnished software for real-time metrics.
• Comply with AFNOC, NOD, NOG Detachment 2, NSD, and AFCERT guidance.

Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for aNetwork Engineer to provide support for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) support task order, which provides Command, Control, Communications (C3) services for multiple critical U.S. Government missions via multiple Air to Global Information Grid (GIG) Gateways (A2G2’s) supported by a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).

This is a full-time position located on-site at Scott Air Force Base (SAFB), in Belleville, IL.

Responsibilities

• Provide Network Tier 1 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, Air Force Global Strike Command’s (AFGSC) E-4B aircraft, also known as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), and U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
• Provide Network Tier 1 support to EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2s), EACN Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC).
• Coordinate network requirements with users and sites and perform system administration tasks on Microsoft Active Directory networks.
• Operate Government-furnished equipment software suites (i.e., SolarWinds) to provide real-time usable statistics to aid with troubleshooting.
• Comply with and support the Air Force Network Operations Center (AFNOC), Network Operations Division (NOD), 26th Network Operations Group (NOG), Detachment 2, and the AFNOC Network Security Division (NSD), AF Computer Response Team (AFCERT).
