Network Engineer — Solutions & Implementation

A growing technology solutions firm is looking for Network Engineers in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. This is a customer-facing role focused on designing, architecting, and implementing tailored network solutions rather than traditional MSP ticket-based support.

You’ll work directly with customers, primarily universities and school districts, to understand their requirements and build practical solutions across routing, switching, and enterprise wireless.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise network solutions from initial requirements through deployment
• Work directly with customers and serve as a trusted technical advisor
• Design and implement enterprise Wi-Fi, including RF surveys, AP placement, and wireless architecture
• Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, and network infrastructure
• Provide technical recommendations and develop solutions based on individual customer needs
• Manage projects independently and build long-term customer relationships

Requirements

• Strong experience with enterprise networking, including routing and switching
• Genuine enterprise Wi-Fi expertise, including RF design, scanning, AP placement, and implementation
• Experience with Juniper, HPE/Aruba, Extreme Networks, Cisco, or similar technologies
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Proactive, consultative mindset with the ability to design solutions rather than simply follow a predefined process
• Experience in SLED, education, consulting, systems integration, or a similar environment is a plus
