Interactive Resources is seeking a Network Security Engineer with hands-on Fortinet experience to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortinet security technologies. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls and security policies.
• Implement and maintain SSL VPN and IPsec VPN connectivity.
• Support secure network architecture, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
• Assist with Fortinet tools such as FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClient EMS, as applicable.
• Monitor network security events, investigate anomalies, and assist with incident response.
• Support network segmentation, intrusion prevention, and secure remote access.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration documentation, and technical procedures.
• Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Help Desk teams.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders through Teams, email, phone, and other channels.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience, strong networking fundamentals, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Practical technical ability and troubleshooting skills are more important than certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls and security policies.
• Implement and maintain SSL VPN and IPsec VPN connectivity.
• Support secure network architecture, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
• Assist with Fortinet tools such as FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClient EMS, as applicable.
• Monitor network security events, investigate anomalies, and assist with incident response.
• Support network segmentation, intrusion prevention, and secure remote access.

Required Qualifications

• Mandatory hands‑on FortiGate firewall experience.
• Understanding of firewall rules, security policies, and network security concepts.
• Knowledge of SSL VPN and IPsec VPN.
• Strong fundamentals in network architecture, routing, and switching.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and explain previous work.
• Strong communication, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FortiSwitch and FortiAP.
• Familiarity with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiClient EMS.
• Knowledge of BGP, SD‑WAN, IDS/IPS, network segmentation, and advanced threat protection.
• Experience integrating Fortinet solutions with Azure AD, Okta, or other third‑party platforms.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, Python, or Ansible.
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification or equivalent knowledge.

Certifications are not required. Hands‑on technical experience is the priority.
