Job summary

Interactive Resources is seeking a Network Security Engineer with hands-on Fortinet experience to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortinet security technologies. The role focuses on firewall management, VPN connectivity, and secure network design within collaboration teams across Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Help Desk.

The candidate should have at least two years of relevant experience, strong networking fundamentals, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of network security engineering or related hands-on experience.
• Mandatory hands-on FortiGate firewall experience.
• Understanding of firewall rules, security policies, and network security concepts.
• Knowledge of SSL VPN and IPsec VPN.
• Strong fundamentals in network architecture, routing, and switching.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and explain previous work.
• Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls and security policies.
• Implement and maintain SSL VPN and IPsec VPN connectivity.
• Support secure network architecture, routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure.
• Assist with Fortinet tools such as FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiClient EMS, as applicable.
• Monitor network security events, investigate anomalies, and assist with incident response.
• Support network segmentation, intrusion prevention, and secure remote access.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration documentation, and technical procedures.
• Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Help Desk teams.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders through Teams, email, phone, and other channels.
