Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) is seeking a Network Engineer Intermediate to join the Network Management team. You will design, configure, install, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade network data communication equipment for assigned agencies, with southeast Indiana coverage and travel reimbursed.

The Network Engineer Intermediate works on the Network Management team, which manages the network for all executive branch and some non-executive branch agencies. You will be responsible for the design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution, repair, maintenance, and upgrade of network data communication equipment for assigned agencies. You will also help to support employees and State contractors.
This position covers network support for the southeast portion of Indiana, east of Interstate 65 and south of Interstate 70. Residency in the service area is not required, but it is highly desired. Travel is reimbursed.
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $61,022.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.

A degree is not required. However, at least 2 years of experience in computer technology, networking, or related field applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.
