Job summary

Altamira Technologies seeks a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain critical operational networks across the national security landscape. You will configure, implement, and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, and load balancers while ensuring STIG compliance and secure operations.

The role requires a TS/SCI with CI poly, a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience, and the ability to support enterprise-grade data communications across government networks.

Qualifications

• Must currently possess a TS/SCI w/CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of related experience (Additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree).
• Certifications may be considered in lieu of experience per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance of network equipment (switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot.
• Document network configurations and diagrams.
• Provide technical support to system operators.

Position Description:

We are seeking a Network Engineer responsible for configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a critical operational network. Provides an engineering resource to support data communications and related applications requirements. Provides administrative support of installed systems/networks. Responsible for planning and implementing the necessary hardware, software and telecommunications equipment to maintain and/or enhance the organization’s networks. Evaluates vendor products and recommends purchases. Recommends and implements network policies and procedures and ensures adherence to security procedures.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $220,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, the scope of the position, relevant experience, education, certifications, internal equity, customer contractual requirements, security clearance requirements, and other legitimate business considerations.
