Job summary

22nd Century Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a Network Engineer/Architect to design and manage F5‑based load balancing and security for a large enterprise.

You will administer vCMP hosting, SSL/TLS certificates, and certificate lifecycles to ensure strong authentication and trust. You will configure SAML, MFA/RSA, Active Directory integration, VPN access, and perform upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting across virtual servers, iRules, and APM policies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with F5 BIG-IP LTM, APM, GTM/DNS and vCMP hosting.
• Manage SSL/TLS certs and certificate lifecycle.
• Experience with SAML, MFA/RSA, Active Directory and VPN.
• Perform F5 upgrades, patching and HA troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot iRules, APM policies and virtual servers.
• Automation/API experience with PowerShell and iControl REST/RESTCONF.
• F5 certification preferred; enterprise-scale support a plus.
• Network-attached HSMs (Thales Luna) highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement F5-based load-balancing and security solutions.

• Monitor performance, troubleshoot pools, nodes, and interfaces.
• Manage certificates, lifecycles and security policies.
• Automate tasks via PowerShell and REST APIs; coordinate upgrades.

Onsite

• Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM, APM, and GTM/DNS
• vCMP host/guest administration and HA troubleshooting
• SSL/TLS certificates, client/server SSL profiles, and certificate lifecycle management
• SAML, MFA/RSA, Active Directory, VPN, and F5 Edge Client
• F5 upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, backup/recovery, UCS, and configuration synchronization
• Troubleshooting virtual servers, pools, nodes, iRules, APM policies, interfaces, CPU/TMM utilization, and performance
• Experience with network-attached HSMs, preferably Thales Luna, highly desirable
• Automation/API experience with PowerShell, iControl REST, or RESTCONF preferred

Preferred: F5 certification and experience supporting large, highly available enterprise environments.
