Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, prototyping, modernization, testing, and evaluation of systems within the SHY portfolio including software, hardware, integration, and test.
  • Provide systems engineering and integration support for weapons systems.
  • Interface with Army program offices and vendors to facilitate project progress.
  • Evaluate software interfaces into existing network architecture.
  • Develop network diagrams for modernization efforts and added hardware.
  • Review and define system requirements.
  • Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages.
  • Develop and present briefings, analyses, and reports to industry and government leadership.

Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is currently seeking a Network Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location to support the Army’s Scaled Hypersonics (SHY) Product Office (PdM), part of Advanced Fires Project Office (AFPO). The SHY PdM has an immediate need for an individual contributor to assist sustainment, and modernization efforts involving rapidly developed hypersonics. Primary duty is to serve as a Network Systems Engineer, which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the capabilities within the SHY portfolio. The Network Systems Engineer is responsible for advising leadership in the design, development, and fielding of hypersonics. The Network Systems Engineer will assist in managing technical requirements, and risk for the Department of War (DoW) and within the SHY office.

Duties
  • Support the design, development, prototyping, modernization, testing, and evaluation of systems within the SHY portfolio including software, hardware, integration, and test.
  • Provide systems engineering and integration support for weapons systems.
  • Responsible for interfacing with and being the liaison between other Army program offices and vendors
  • Responsible for evaluating software interfaces into existing network architecture
  • Develop network diagrams to include modernization efforts and network additions for added hardware.
  • Review and define system requirements
  • Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages
  • Interface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system design
  • Develop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within DoW and the Federal Government.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Self-starter, requiring minimal supervision with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Successful technical missile system fire direction and power systems development experience with Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS)
  • Experience with fielded DoD internet terminal systems (Starlink, SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP), T2Network Systems).
  • Knowledge of system interface requirements and requirements management as well as techniques to drive system behaviors
  • Experience preparing briefings and documentation
  • Familiar with conducting reviews of entrance and exit criteria
