Job summary

Industrial Technology Services, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to ensure stable, secure, and efficient network operations for client programs. The successful candidate will monitor, maintain, and optimize networked systems and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities include identifying and resolving network problems, providing guidance to peers, and participating in special projects. A DoD 8570/8140–compliant certificate is required, with strong Cisco IOS and virtualization experience

Qualifications

This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software associated operating systems. The Senior Network Engineer will apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolves issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operational Management:
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems
• Provides network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
• Determines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
• May provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced systems engineers
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
• Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques
• Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment
• Participates in special projects as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work

• Experience with firewalls and firewall rule setsUnderstanding of network virtualization
• Understanding of concepts presented in the VMware Data Center Virtualization Fundamentals course
• Understanding of VxRail Manager and best practices
• VDI experience highly desired

Education And Experience

• Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science
• 2-5+ years of related Network Engineering experience
• Appropriate Level Cybersecurity Certification required per DoD 8570/8140 (IAT 1-3, IAM 1-3, or positional certification as specified)
