The role focuses on implementing network designs for a 24/7 production facility, working with Cisco networking gear and related technologies. You will collaborate with IT architects, Quality SMEs and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable network operations, compliance with industry standards, and smooth integration with existing systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Network Infrastructure and/or Technical Services.
• Experience with network design, builds & implementation plans.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SMTP, NTP, IMAP and SNMP.
• Knowledge of network standards (like NIST).
• Experience with AlgoSec FireFlow and Solarwinds.
• CCNP Routing, Switching & TShoot and CCNA Routing & Switching preferred.

Job Title: Network Engineer

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Clayton, NC 27527

Reporting Expectations: Onsite; Mon - Fri 08.00am To 05.00pm Est

Top Skills Per Mgr:

• Prior technical experience (up to 5 years) working with Network Infrastructure supporting Enterprise Cisco setups.
• Hands-On rack & stack, Network cabling, provisioning and implementation experience working with Routers, Switches, Wireless equipment (WLC/WAP) .
• Team player with an ability to work independently and collaborating directly with non-IT line of business stakeholders and users.

Description:

Purpose/Role

The position holder will provide Network implementation support (design & build phases) for local manufacturing projects to be run in a 24/7 production facility. The position holder needs to be proactive in engaging in close dialogue with the IT architects, Quality SME's, Application specialists and stakeholders spread across multiple cross-functional teams.

Physical requirements

• May be required to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift.
• NOT required corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role.
• NOT require color vision based on role.
• May require the ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protections.

Qualifications & Essential functions

• 5 years of experience working within Network Infrastructure and/or Technical Services.
• Prior experience working with Network design, builds & implementation plans needed.
• Solid understanding of Network Routing, Switching, Wireless, VPN and MPLS technologies from Cisco and Other Vendors.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SMTP, NTP, IMAP and SNMP.
• Knowledge of Network standards (like NIST), HVAC and electrical requirements.
• Understanding of AlgoSec products Firewall Analyser and FireFlow.
• Knowledge of Solarwinds network management.
• Prior knowledge in Infrastructure qualification, Compliance requirements in Pharmaceutical industry, GxP knowledge will be an advantage.
• Ability to demonstrate and provide excellent & friendly customer service skills required.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP-Routing, Switching & TShoot and CCNA - Routing & Switching) certified preferred.
• May move equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions.
