Job summary

MH Corbitt Consulting, Inc. seeks a seasoned Network Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex networks in a secure enterprise environment in Chantilly, VA. The role requires hands-on experience with routing, switching, WAN/LAN, VPNs, and network security, with a TS/SCI clearance active at application.

You will maintain network diagrams in Visio, monitor performance, and collaborate with cybersecurity and systems teams to meet mission objectives and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing.
• LAN/WAN design and maintenance in secure environments.
• Cisco/Juniper routing & switching experience.

Title: Network Engineer

Location: Chantilly, VA (Onsite)

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active at the time of application)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support mission-critical Sponsor systems in a highly secure enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructures supporting critical operations. This role requires strong technical expertise across routing, switching, WAN/LAN technologies, network security, and performance optimization.

Applicants must have experience:

• performing network engineering activities on Sponsor mission systems.
• with the TCP/IP protocol suite, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing technologies.
• supporting and maintaining both Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Network (WAN) transport environments.
• designing, configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routing and switching platforms.
• designing, implementing, and supporting Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs across MPLS-based networks.
• implementing network security controls, including firewalls and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• creating and maintaining network topology diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio.
• monitoring network performance and utilizing analysis tools to identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues.
• troubleshooting and repairing network outages, degradations, and performance-related problems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience supporting the Sponsor's Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
• Experience working within secure government or intelligence community environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Additional Cisco, Juniper, or network security certifications are highly desirable.
