Job summary

Consumer Directed Services Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to provide onsite support in Chantilly, VA. You will design WAN/LAN and data center solutions, monitor networks with SolarWinds and Cisco tools, and create detailed diagrams and baselines.

You will coordinate with teams on infrastructure projects, participate in ITIL lifecycle activities, and work to optimize network performance while delivering production-ready engineering packages.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of network engineering experience with a strong foundation in WAN/LAN and data center designs.
• Certifications: CCNA or equivalent routing/switching; DoD 8570 IAT Level II; plan to obtain IAT III within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Providing Tier II and III network support and designing WAN, LAN and data center solutions.
• Monitoring and configuring networks with SolarWinds, Cisco DNAC and Cisco ISE.
• Creating detailed network diagrams, routing schemas and hardware baselines.
• Coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders on infrastructure projects.
• Participating in ITIL Service Lifecycle activities including change management and security policies.
• Assessing architectures, optimizing performance and recommending improvements.
• Delivering technical analysis, requirements and engineering packages for production environments.

Seeking a motivated Network Engineer to provide onsite support in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing Tier II and III network support, designing WAN, LAN, and data center solutions
• Monitoring and configuring networks with SolarWinds, Cisco DNAC, and Cisco ISE
• Creating detailed network diagrams, routing schemas, and hardware baselines
• Coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders on infrastructure projects
• Participating in ITIL Service Lifecycle activities, including change management and security policies
• Assessing network architectures, optimizing performance, and recommending improvements
• Delivering technical analysis, requirements, and engineering packages for production environments

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Experience with SolarWinds, Microsoft Windows, HP SANs, VMware
• Managing VPNs, routing protocols, VLANs, VRFs, and KGs
• Knowledge of Cisco ACI, data center fabrics, Ansible, DSC
• Familiarity with fiber termination, cabling standards, and TEMPEST guidelines

Clearance & Physical Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance required
• Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time and occasionally move within the office for communication and presentations
