Job summary

Armison Tech is seeking a Network Engineer for an on-site client environment in Chantilly, VA. TS/SCI with Polygraph and US citizenship are required. You will design, engineer, and implement secure networks, support mission-critical projects, and travel as needed to meet client needs.

Qualifications

  • Must maintain active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, IT or equivalent.
  • 15+ years as a network engineer with deep network knowledge.
  • Experience with security-focused, layered network approaches.
  • Cisco router experience incl 2900/3800 families.
  • Ability to design, analyze, configure and implement complex networks.
  • Experience monitoring performance, latency, and security concerns.
  • Knowledge of secure network protocols (VPNs, L2TP, VLANs, cryptography).
  • Familiarity with Juniper JNCIA-Enterprise/Service Provider Routing.
  • Linux networking experience and network traffic redirection.
  • Understanding of logs/monitoring tools and Wireshark.
  • Understanding of end-to-end data flow for workstations and apps.
  • Certs like CCNA/CCNP/CISSP are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and implement client networks.
  • Act as the architect to support a range of client priorities.
  • Plan, initiate, support, secure, and execute digital network models.
  • Travel for the customer ~10% of the year (CONUS/OCONUS).

Network Engineer

Location: Chantilly, VA (on-site client environment). Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph. Compensation: Competitive, Excellent Benefits.

You will work with a cutting-edge team focused on the design, engineering, and implementation of client networks. In this role, you are the creative architect and engineer that will enable activities focused on a wide range of client priorities. You will apply your technical expertise using specialized methodologies and digital tools to plan, initiate, support, secure, and execute digital network models to support our customer's mission. You will have the opportunity to work on highly visible projects, and will be a critical component in breaking down complex problems and delivering solutions. You will be able to travel for the customer approximately 10% of the year, both CONUS and OCONUS.

Qualifications:

  • Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of experience as a network engineer, and a deep understanding of network protocols and technologies.
  • Experience using industry standards and open source technologies from a layered security perspective.
  • Experience using Cisco routers to include 2900, 3800, and 2900 families of routers.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, configuring, and implementing complex network architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring network performance and troubleshooting network issues to resolve latency issues, and security concerns.
  • Experience designing, engineering, and implementing secure network protocols at layers 1 - 3 of the OSI model; to include cryptography, site to site VPNs, any connect, L2TP, VLANs, and authentication.
  • Familiarity with Juniper JNCIA-Enterprise/Service Provider Routing and Switching.
  • Experience implementing security standards in anticipation of fast paced changes of operational practices.
  • Working knowledge of Linux (IPTables, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP) with specific implementation experience regarding redirection of network traffic.
  • Understanding of network logging and monitoring tools, comfortability monitoring netflow with Wireshark.
  • Understanding of end-to-end data flow and applications to include workstations and computers.
  • DESIRED: Related certifications, such as the Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, or the CISSP.
