Job summary

The Network Engineer will support DHS CISA by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure for mission-critical systems. This role ensures network reliability, performance, and compliance with federal security standards.

Location is On-Site in Arlington, VA. Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance. You will collaborate with system administrators, cloud engineers, and security teams to optimize network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3–5 years of network engineering or administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• CCNA, CCNP, or Security+ certifications preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Network Engineer

Summary:

• Configure, monitor, and manage LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall solutions.

• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and performance issues.

• Implement DHS and NIST security controls, including Zero Trust principles.

• Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.

• Collaborate with system administrators, cloud engineers, and security teams to optimize network operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or administration.

• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies.

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Security+ preferred.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
