Overview

Join the HJF Team. This position is contingent upon contract award. HJF is seeking a Network Dissemination Manager to coordinate, administer, and analyze processes and data related to class scheduling and enrollment, and to manage system upgrades, implementation, and redesign in this area. The role includes serving as the campus expert in the tools used to perform these functions and providing resources and training on TBI-related issues. This position supports the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE) in Silver Spring, MD, within the Research Support Division of the Research and Engineering Directorate (R&E) of the Defense Health Agency (DoD). TBICoE is a matrixed program that advances warfighter brain health and readiness through dissemination of TBI tools, products, and education to DoD medical personnel, service members, veterans, and families/caregivers.

HJF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine, partnering with military, medical, academic, and government clients to administer, manage, and support scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians.

Responsibilities
  • Manages curriculum functions under the direction of the University Registrar, including accreditation, catalog systems, SIS, LMS, and other administrative applications and systems as needed.
  • Coordinates staffing tasks related to registration, course scheduling, and other curriculum-related activities.
  • Increase awareness and understanding of clinical care standards of practice for TBI.
  • Train health care teams who treat service members and veterans with TBI.
  • Promote TBICoE clinical tools.
  • Provide TBI resources to service members, veterans, families, and caregivers.
  • Obtain and disseminate TBI resources for service members, veterans, families, and caregivers.
  • Conduct outreach activities.
  • Inform leaders of the impact of TBI on unit performance.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, including attendance at required training for the role.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Assigned Lead: May recommend employee hiring, disciplinary action, starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.
Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree in education or healthcare field required.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience working with DoD/VA/community providers, patients and families with issues pertaining to TBI education and training.
  • Experience in the care of patients with TBI (inpatient, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings).
  • TBICoE/DHA background in TBI preferred.
  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of community education and outreach techniques.
  • Basic understanding of TBI clinical and policy issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of DoD and VA clinical networks to identify access points for training and education.
  • Ability to mentor subordinates.
  • Ability to manage conflict, build rapport, and navigate complex situations leading to positive outcomes.
  • Adherence to legal, professional, and ethical standards of confidentiality and privacy.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret Clearance, including background check and drug screening.
Physical Capabilities
  • Lifting: up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Compensation
  • The annual salary range is $73,800–$110,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience and education.

Employment with HJF is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including verification of references, previous employment, education and credentials, criminal background, and a Department of Motor Vehicles check if applicable.
