Job description

We're currently looking for a Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to join a growing technology organization in Waltham, MA.

This is a hands-on role focused on enterprise networking, cybersecurity infrastructure, security operations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and the ability to independently manage, troubleshoot, and improve network and security environments.

You will report to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity & Technology, working alongside a Systems Engineer who manages day-to-day systems and endpoint operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco/Meraki switching, VPN/ZTNA, and NAC.
• Administer and troubleshoot Nutanix infrastructure, including cluster management, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Manage identity and access security using Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Support security operations, including SIEM, EDR, DLP, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Implement network and security controls across AWS and Azure environments.
• Support compliance initiatives aligned with NIST CSF and CIS Controls.
• Troubleshoot complex networking, firewall, and infrastructure issues while driving security improvements.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise networking, routing, switching, and network security.
• Required: Hands-on Nutanix experience, including administration, troubleshooting, and management of Nutanix environments.
• Experience configuring and managing next-generation firewalls, preferably Palo Alto.
• Experience with Cisco and/or Meraki networking infrastructure.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity operations, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and security compliance frameworks.
• Ability to independently own technical projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate across teams.
