Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification required at start date.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN/WAN maintenance, and performance management.
• Advanced knowledge across multiple network elements and protocols (routers, switches, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, CISCO/Juniper, DWDM, Optical Switching).
• Understanding of network topologies (transport and IP).
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize tickets using Remedy.
• Triage and manage tickets; provide guidance for complex tickets.
• Analyze network-event data and telemetry to identify patterns and faults.
• Perform incident analysis to isolate faults and coordinate remediation.
• Notify contacts based on incident severity and location.
• Support global situational awareness for customers.
• Design corrective-action plans to prevent recurrence of faults.
• Engineer restoration and reroute strategies to meet SLAs.
• Document reroutes in CMDB and provide outage updates.
