Job summary

Verizon Communications in Detroit, Michigan is seeking a seasoned professional to drive the construction and activation of macro cell site modifications and MDU/MTU building installations. A keen eye for detail and strong organization help ensure progress toward milestones while mitigating roadblocks.

The role is hybrid, with a home office component and a minimum of three days in the office. Travel up to 25% is required, and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with the design and install of equipment used in transmitting broadband data over in-building networks.
  • Experience with coax, twisted pair copper or fiber optic cabling and complex networks as well as switching equipment.
  • Experience with coordinating installation of new in-building networks or equipment.
  • Experience with managing large build projects involving broadband services, and ensure timely planning and implementation.
  • Experience with producing technical as-built documentation.
  • Experience understanding hazard identification & prevention.
  • Knowledge and experience with CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals).
  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting coax and Cat6a Ethernet cabling.
  • Experience working off of ladders (step/extension/folding).
  • Experience with drilling in multiple dwelling/commercial buildings.
  • Frontline experience with working with customer/clients.

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and spreadsheet management.

  • Excellent organizational abilities and professional communication expertise.
