Island Finance LLC is seeking a Network Administrator in Seattle to oversee the operational phase of voice and data communications. Responsibilities include managing multi-site networks, optimizing performance, ensuring compliance, and maintaining security protocols.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, with 3+ years of experience in a multi-site setting, and proficiency in networking tools and protocols. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsible for the operational phase of the institution’s voice and data communications, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all branches, departmental offices, and cloud services. Operates and optimizes LAN/WAN/SD‑WAN, enterprise Wi‑Fi, Internet/MPLS/LTE links, VPN (site‑to‑site and remote access), IP telephony/SIP/UC, and secure connectivity with cloud providers (OCI and AWS). Ensures policy compliance, audit support, and continuous improvement under ITIL practices and cybersecurity best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Computer/Telecommunications/Electrical) or Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 3+ years administering multi‑site networks and communications in regulated environments (financial, telecom, healthcare, or similar). Proficient knowledge of communication and network concepts and protocols. Fortinet NSE4/7 or higher; Cisco CCNA/CCNP; CompTIA Network+/Security+; ITILv4 Foundation. Cloud certifications with networking emphasis: AWS (Advanced Networking/SAA), OCI (Networking/Architecture).
Experience with core networking architecture, major vendor equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points), network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, access controls, vulnerability management), virtualization technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), unified communications (VoIP, SIP trunks, video conferencing), and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux). Bilingual (Spanish and English). Customer‑focused, service‑oriented, with strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills. Availability for on‑call duties, off‑hour changes, and site visits; valid driver’s license.
