Job summary

DLS Engineering is seeking a Network Automation Engineer (Router & Boundary) for a full-time, on-site role in Montgomery, Alabama, supporting the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) program at Gunter Annex. The team maintains routers, switches, proxies, firewalls, servers and labs to defend both classified and unclassified networks.

The role focuses on scripting, automation, and SDN-aware design to improve availability and security. Active Secret Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with scripting languages to automate network provisioning and changes.
• Experience with enterprise network architectures; SDN experience preferred.
• IAT-II certification is required.
• CCNP or Palo Alto certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scripts to reduce downtime and improve changes speed.
• Automate network monitoring and alert triage for high availability.
• Create automation for configuring and monitoring networking devices to reduce manual tasks.
• Design workflows for routers, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, servers, and switches.
