Overview

MetroSys is seeking an experienced Network Architect Consultant to support strategic and technical network design initiatives for our enterprise and government clients. This is a flexible, on-demand role suited for a highly skilled architect who can step in when deep network expertise is required—whether for planning, troubleshooting, migrations, or infrastructure upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and validate complex LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud-integrated network architectures
• Provide expert-level consultation on routing, switching, VPNs, SD-WAN, and network security solutions
• Evaluate current network systems and develop roadmaps or recommendations for optimization
• Assist with the development of architecture documentation, standards, and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network performance issues or outages
• Collaborate with client teams to align infrastructure to business needs
• Support network migration, transformation, or modernization projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of network engineering and architecture experience
• Deep expertise with Cisco technologies (certifications like CCNP, CCIE highly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud networking (Azure, AWS), and hybrid environments
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and consult effectively in dynamic client settings
