Job summary

Voyager Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable enterprise network solutions across offices, facilities, and secure environments in the United States.

Reporting to the Director of Networking, you will translate business, cybersecurity, and operational needs into resilient infrastructure and oversee the full lifecycle from discovery to handoff. You will lead architecture efforts for LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and internet edge, drive standards,

Role overview

A senior network architect role within a space, defense, and national security technology organization, responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable enterprise network solutions across corporate offices, engineering facilities, manufacturing sites, secure program environments, and newly acquired locations. Reporting to the Director of Networking, the position serves as a technical authority translating business, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational requirements into resilient, mission-aware infrastructure. It spans the full network lifecycle from current-state discovery through architecture, engineering, implementation, migration, testing, documentation, and operational handoff.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and current-state assessments across distributed facilities and environments being integrated into the enterprise.
• Document existing topology, circuits, routing, switching, wireless, firewall boundaries, VPN, VLANs, IP addressing, segmentation, DNS/DHCP, network services, monitoring, and dependencies.
• Design secure, highly available enterprise architectures for LAN, WAN, wireless, SD-WAN, internet edge, VPN, remote access, routing, switching, segmentation, and related services.
• Develop and maintain enterprise network standards, reference architectures, engineering patterns, configuration baselines, and technology roadmaps.
• Produce high-level and low-level designs, logical and physical diagrams, implementation plans, bills of material, addressing strategies, and resiliency models.
• Provide hands-on engineering leadership during builds, site activations, and migrations, partnering with cybersecurity, IT operations, cloud, application, and carrier stakeholders.

Requirements

• Approximately 8+ years of progressive enterprise networking experience, including senior engineering or architecture responsibilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of enterprise routing and switching, LAN/WAN, wireless, firewalls, VPN, internet connectivity, DNS/DHCP, IP addressing, segmentation, and monitoring.
• Strong grasp of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, plus redundancy, high availability, QoS, and resilient design principles.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing networks across multiple geographically distributed sites, including discovery, modernization, migration, and handoff.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, or eligibility to obtain TS/SCI upon hire; must be a U.S. person eligible for applicable export authorizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop professional network diagrams, design documentation, and technical recommendations.
